Subathon Timer

Plan and run a subathon with flexible time rewards and live controls.

Create and name a Subathon

Create the widget from the Subathon overview, give it an internal display name, and open its configuration page.

Count Down or Count Up

Count Down is the classic mode: supported Twitch events add time. Count Up reverses event behavior, so supported events subtract time.

Starting time and maximum time

For Count Down, choose a fixed duration or a target date and time. Duration accepts milliseconds, seconds, minutes, hours, or days. The optional Max Time prevents rewards from pushing the timer beyond your chosen cap.

Timer controls

Start, pause, and reset the timer from the configuration page. Manual controls accept values such as 10m or 1h 15m and can add or remove time.

Event Time Rewards

Enable rewards separately for subscriptions, Prime subscriptions, gift subscriptions, Tier 2 and Tier 3 subscriptions, Bits, raids, follows, first chatters, and StreamElements tips. Set the seconds awarded for each event. Bits and raids also support a per-value rule.

StreamElements tips

Connect StreamElements in Settings before enabling StreamElements Tip. Then decide how tip value translates into timer time. See the complete StreamElements tutorial.

Chat commands and chatbot

Commands include timer display, add time, remove time, start, pause, and clear paint. Each command can be enabled separately and assigned an access level. Chatbot responses can also be disabled. Only one Subathon chatbot can own the connection for a Twitch channel at a time.

Custom API integrations

The Custom API area provides separate state, stream, and events URLs for external integrations. Treat these integration URLs as private.

Text, emotes, and design

Use {timer} inside the display text. Choose the display format, font and weight, alignment, 7TV paint, inline 7TV emotes, emote size, paint-per-line behavior, shadow, outline, and optional background box.

Browser Source and sharing

Copy the Browser Source URL for OBS. The separate share link is intended for people who should access the shared Subathon view; do not confuse it with private control or integration URLs.
